Employees are at the core of our operations and business success

The ability to attract and retain skilled workers as well as maintaining a healthy working environment where everyone thrives, feels respected and valued, is critical to our existence. At Andfjord Salmon, we have an open-door-policy and engage with employees directly and through employee representatives. Employees are closely involved in the design and development of their own working environment.

Every year, we conduct an employee survey measuring the level of satisfaction in the workplace. We also measure absence rate, diversity, and health and safety indicators.

Health and safety

Safe working conditions are a key priority for us. As for any production environment, working at Andfjord Salmon involves health and safety risks. We aim to have a positive impact on health and safety by establishing clear guidelines, inform employees of potential risks relating to their tasks and provide health and safety training on a regular basis. We have established a web-based health and management system, and all company procedures regarding health and safety are available here.

Equality statement

There are increasing expectations relating to corporate action and transparency on diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunities. We aim to be an inclusive workplace that works actively to promote diversity and equality. We are committed to paying employees fairly for the work they perform, regardless of personal beliefs or any individual characteristics and prohibit discrimination in any form. Every year, we publish an equality statement, reporting on our progress on this topic.

A meaningful job!

Synnøve Killie Dinesen was almost finished her bachelor's thesis on land-based fish farming when she saw the vacancy at Andfjord Salmon. Just one week after her final exam she was working in her new job in Andøya and taking part in the company's very first release of smolt.
