Andfjord will practise an open and trustworthy corporate governance. We will establish professional systems of accountability, oversight and control within the company. The shareholder is a very important stakeholder for us, to succeed with our great ambitions. As we acknowledge our responsibility as a major producer of food in the arctic region, we aim to incorporate this responsibility in all of our decision making:
We are well aware that we manage fragile resources in the arctic. With that responsibility in mind, we will strive towards integrating ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) in all our decision-making processes. By adopting the 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development, we commit our company to work for prosperity both for our region and the planet.
For Andfjord Salmon, our sustainable efforts and small footprint are strategic and commercial goals. We will report our achievements with ESG regularly.
Andfjord Salmon will purposefully work with sustainability certification bodies in both Europe and the Americas such as Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) and Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP). Both standards certify farmed salmon according to strict and clearly defined criteria. These standards are available on www.asc-aqua.org and www.bapcertification.org
