22nd October:

The first Andfjord Salmon™ pool takes shape and is scheduled to be finished by the fourth quarter of 2020. CEO, Martin Rasmussen, presented the status of the project at the 2020 Aquaculture Seminar.

Fearnley Securities arranged the seminar together with Haavind Law Firm. The main topic was the Norwegian land-based facilities. The 2020 Aquaculture Seminar was led by Øyvind André Haram, Communications Officer of Sjømat Norge. The conference had a total of 260 listeners.

- Andøya is located in Vesterålen, which is the area in Norway with the best advantage of the Gulf Stream. And the Gulf Stream provides us with clean and oxygen-rich temperate water which is untouched by other facilities, which gives a lower risk of contagious diseases, Rasmussen said.

The CEO also presented the current status in the process of building the world's most sustainable and animal friendly land based farming facility of its kind.

- We are in the end phase with completing the first pool, that we’re going to finish in the last quarter of 2020. We’ll release the smolt by the spring of 2021. We expect that our locations, Fiskenes and Breivika, are fully regulated in early 2021, Rasmussen explained.
