June 20th became an anniversary for Andfjord Salmon AS. The construction equipment was in place and made the first "shovels" at Kvalnes..
About twenty shareholders and key employees were present at Kvalnes when the excavator started the job.
- After all the years of planning and engineering, this was special. There is no doubt that this was great. Now we're up and running, says founder and chairman Roy Bernt Pettersen.
He has had busy days this spring. A deal with one of Norways largest contractors, Leonard Nilsen and Sons, was signed earlier this month. Today, the norwegian public broadcaster NRK visited Kvalnes to interview Pettersen about the construction of the largest flow-through farming facility of its kind. In just 12 months, the smolt will swim in the innovative facility.
- It's always good when you see the results of years of work. This has been a team effort for a long time and now it is just to work hard and create the great adventure we have said we will deliver, says Pettersen.
