Gro Skaar Knutsen appointed to the board of directors in Andfjord Salmon AS

Managing director of PEAB Bjørn Bygg, Gro Skaar Knutsen, has been appointed as a new board member in Andfjord Salmon. “With her expertise as a leader in the construction industry, Knutsen will strengthen our work with the development projects at Andøya,” says board chairman Roger Brynjulf Mosand.

Since 2018, Gro Skaar Knutsen has been managing director of PEAB Bjørn Bygg, one of northern Norway's biggest construction companies with a turnover of NOK 1.5 billion. Knutsen is educated as an engineer and has 30 years' experience in the industry.

“Andfjord Salmon's perspective on sustainability is very inspiring and exciting. I look forward to starting my duties on the board and am very motivated to contribute to building the world's most environmentally and fish-friendly salmon farming facility,” says Knutsen.

Knutsen was elected to the board at the extraordinary general meeting held on October 13, 2021, and her appointment is effective from the same date.

“We have major development projects ahead with phases 2 and 3 at Breivik and Fiskenes. It is therefore a pleasure to be able to strengthen the board's expertise with experienced leaders like Gro Skaar Knutsen. Andfjord Salmon has developed innovative solutions, which we have seen it is very attractive to take part in realising,” says board chairman Roger Brynjulf Mosand.

Following Ms Knutsen's appointment, the board of directors in Andfjord Salmon now consists of Roger Brynjulf Mosand (chairman), Roy Bernt Pettersen, Tore Traaseth, Knut Roald Holmøy, Kim Marius Strandenæs, Bettina Flatland and Gro Skaar Knutsen. 

Andfjord Salmon is a Norwegian company established in 2014. The company is listed at Oslo Stock Exchange (ANDF), and located at Kvalnes on the northernmost island of Andøya in Vesterålen, Norway.
